Hostile gate camp detected on low side of low and high sec gate. Our fleet jumps in scramming several T3's, strangely there are 2 positive standing players sitting in orcas on the gate. T3's engage our fleet it is clear our fleet is going to win, T3's run to orca on gate get scooped, Orca's jump to High sec.
I'm not crying or mad and I'm impressed that the opposing fleet discovered how to do this and I don't think they should be banned, punished or warned at the least as it's taking the sandbox to the limits which I enjoy.
Now that this tactic has been documented can some one from CCP close it before it gets old fast! 2 ways to stop this are
1. Prevent Orca's scooping agro'd and GCC pilot's. 2. Transfer agro and GCC to ORCA making it shootable or concordable if it jumps to High.
Thank you for your time and thanks to the fleet that made me go ''WTF, Mkay, LOL''.
Sorry if this is allready and well known and I'm slow on the ball.
One counter via in game PVP would be to get a Smartbombing ship up in the face of Orca's |

Still I think an nerf to this is needed simply extend agro to any orca scooping a vessel just as repping an agro'd target transfers agro. (orca should of course be given pop up warning)
If scooped ship was previously pirate orca should acquire GCC. (orca should of course be given pop up warning)
Even simpler would be to make scooping ships count as aggression preventing Orca's from jumping for 1 min. This would be very easy and have not effected legitimate use of Orca's in any are of space. |
